In line with its strategy for 2008 to 2010, representatives of the Samoan Women’s Rugby Steering Committee made the following presentation to the national meeting of Primary School Principals on 15^th February 2008. 

Endorsement gained unanimously, School Girls Rugby was introduced on 3^rd April 2008. The program aims to provide a wider base for Manusina pool of players and opportunity for Samoan women to travel globally and becomes another source of income for them and their families.

The Brief AIM: With directives and support from Samoa Rugby Union, Samoa Women’s Rugby Steering Committee met with Principals and the Education community at large to seek approval to develop School Girls Rugby in Secondary Schools.
