Page 1 of 2 It is believed that the outcome of quality players is the product of quality coaching. SRU coaching staff, Volunteers, and IRB development resource personnel have work closely in conducting coaching clinics for schools, clubs, provincial union and national representative teams. Clinics were designed for introduction and upskilling of coaches through a number of classroom and practical activities. Senior coaches were introduced to Level Two coaching requirements which covered advanced individual and unit skills, practice planning, physical preparation, mental preparation, motivation, mental toughness, tactical awareness, risk management, coaching ethics, injury prevention, role of a coach, communication and Laws of the Game.
